Hydrosols are aromatic waters produced when fresh leaves, flowers, or other plant materials go through the steam distillation process. While their properties and aromas are similar to their essential oil equivalents, they are much softer and gentler, making them safe to use without additional dilution for people of all ages. They are wonderful to use right out of the bottle for a refreshing facial toner to provide gentle moisture and calming skin care. They can also be used as natural, safe and effective room fresheners. Hydrosols are also commonly used as healing ingredients in other skin care products such as face creams and body lotions.
